Project Issues

First the good news: Chapters 2 - 5 of OH: HEL have already been drafted and are being worked on as we speak.

The bad news: The engine used for the visual novel has gone missing, and now we have to put chapter development on hold in order to rebuild and test the engine from scratch.

Updates: We hope that in rebuilding the engine we can optimize the size and flow as well as revamp the menu system to be more user friendly.

Unfortunate News

 For those of you who still look to this blog for news, or who have been fans of our work. I have some distressing news.  

Some of our works have been discontinued due to system changes.

What does this mean: For those who have frequented our DLsite.com profile and seen the various works released over the years, you may notice that we used to have more. Unfortunately, this is due to upgrades in DLsite's security combined with the issue that I've had to change computers over the years, and some of the older works were backed up on hard drives that themselves didn't have a back up. Because of this, these works are being removed or have already been removed from DLsite. 

I'm truly sorry for those of you who appreciated those early works, or those of you who were planning to purchase those works at a future time. As much as I wish I could provide an original for those products so that DLsite could update their security...I no longer have the project raws, or even the original copies.

The effected works are listed below:

We have already searched for back ups of these products, but unless they were miraculously stashed somewhere else I have very low hopes of returning them to DLsite again...if I could, I'd probably just provide them free to people.

In the future, we may remake them, but for now I want to continue on with our current projects.

March Update

There have been a lot of delays since the January update of the new series. I hate to make excuses, but I'm still working on finishing chapter 1. The script has already been written for it long before I published the first half of the chapter in January 2021. Unfortunately, due to many personal issues that have to do with my living and my day job I've had to delay the release for part 2 in February. And due to more circumstances, I've been injured and was forced to rest for the first two weeks of March. Of course, when you're dealing with searing pain whenever you walk,stand or sit normally then it makes it hard to sit at a computer and work without agonizing pain pulling your mind away from what you should be doing. But enough excuses from me. 

Originally, with this series, I had planned for it to be a chapter a month. But since I'm new to creating chapters every month, I realized that realistically - it would take me a chapter every two months. Even now, with the personal delays that I've had to deal with, I'm starting to think even a chapter every two months is a bit much, but I'm going to take it in stride and do my best.

New Visual Novel IN PROGRESS!!

 

Due to many personal issues in the past year and the fact that my team and I do have jobs outside of this group, and of course due to the COVID-19 this past year of 2020, our group has found ourselves hard pressed to get much work done on any releases. 

As I took a step back from the series this past year, I started to realize that I was personally not accomplishing what I wanted to accomplish with this series. It also felt like a lot more effort was going into the series than I originally planned, so I decided to scale back many things. As a team we decided that perhaps we should focus more on story than game elements. So we have decided to release the next content of the series as linear visual novel chapters. These releases, as of right now - 01/08/2021 will be released for free on itch.io. While it is free, we ask that you do respect our intellectual property rights and not use any of our work without permission. That said we hope you enjoy what we have in store for you.

This series will be a departure from our more Adult oriented works and will be geared towards a more General Audience. At a later date, we may explore making an adult oriented version.

For those of you who specifically follow our hentai releases - we will still be releasing content on that front too, but on a slightly smaller scale to offset the story being laid out in the visual novel series.

New GAME RELEASE!!!

New Game Coming Soon!

In the home stretch, but still quite far. Ran into some development and licensing issues. In order to release this game sooner we had to forgo the license of a part of the system by removing it. Unfortunately, removing that system caused more errors to pop up. So we spent an extra month adding fixes and a few work arounds, but development is back on track.

Right now we're in the play testing phase which includes some quality of life changes to the game. Expected release is early February assuming nothing else comes up.

For those wondering, this game takes place in a parallel reality of our original series. Same characters exist, but we really wanted to iron out the world in which the stories occur as well as many of the concepts that form the basis of the world.

Originally we were aiming for a "steampunk-ish" world, but considering the different ideas that formed the basis of the world, a steampunk swords & sorcery world didn't seem adequate forcing us to change a lot of the world to fit the ideas that founded it.

From a design stand point, this release is more of a proving ground for the new improved system we're introducing to the game.

We may put up a demo on itch.io before the game is released.

Yeah, it's been a year or so since my last update...give or take. Been busy with many things and dealing with personal stuff.

But we're in the home stretch for the next game release! This one will pay homage to the character April O'Neil from the 1980's version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Roughly the same character, but with a more independent woman-streak. I being a fan of the TMNT series, I can't bear to have any of the copyright owners mad at me for any reason, so my character will be named April O'Sheila. Unlike April O'Neil, she doesn't have teen mutant turtles trained in martial arts to save her ass. She's pretty good at using her wits and her feminine wiles to get out of problems.

I wouldn't mind hearing any opinions from people who follow my work, so don't hesitate to comment guys.

More Apologies

Unfortunately, I'm still getting used to my new schedule. So releases might be slower these next few months. I have a lot of personal business to attend to as well as trying to upgrade my systems. I apologize for the delay and I hope that I can resume releasing content on a regular basis again.

My apologies.

For those of you who are looking forward to the next Onsen Hime game release, or to the new monthly content I have been posting on hentaikey lately, you have my sincerest apologies. At the moment, I'm going through a bit of a rough patch, and I need to raise some funds to pay my bills.

Game status: So far, I've spent the better part of the last two years working on a game engine and story line. I have both ready, but unfortunately, just having a viable game engine isn't enough. I actually have to put in the work into designing the levels, maps, and inputting dialogue as well as the copious amounts of play testing that needs to be done before I can release it to the public. Unfortunately, with things as they are, this will be delayed for a bit, as the job I've taken on will have me contracted for a year or so and I need to focus on that.

Hentaikey content status: This has been an ongoing project to help me sharpen my skills and provide exclusive content to hentaikey.com members. For those of you who have had the pleasure of watching my art style progress, thank you for your patronage. I will try to keep this up in the coming months, but please understand that September's release will be a tad late, or it may be non-existent depending on the workload and other responsibilities I will be under.


Those things said, it is my plan to keep slowly working on the monthly releases and the new game releases. However, I had originally planned for the new game to be released by about Christmas this year, and that probably isn't going to happen.

I thank everyone who has helped me in making these games as well as those of you who enjoy playing them. I hope to give you something new to look forward to really soon.

The mists of August

August has finally come as the mists of summer fade into fall. We welcome the final month of summer with the cool mist of Kasumi, the misty ninja.

To an old fart like me - she is Lara Croft meets Mai Shiranui. Although her outfit resembles the aforementioned KoF/Fatal Fury starlet, it is actually an accepted stereotypical genre design shared among all female ninjas(unless they came from the Naruto series).

What makes Kasumi different is that she is "The Kunoichi of Destiny" and is heralded as the best ninja of her world... to the point that enhanced clones of her are running around and/or being sold to various questionable agencies. However, that doesn't make her any less likeable.

Happy Friday 13th!

Sorry for the wait everyone. I was busy improving the animation system so this release came in pretty late. Happy Friday 13th Everyone! And what better way to survive an unlucky day than with a hard core babe! I love Lara Croft as the bad ass video game heroine that told the world that women can certainly kick ass and take names. I even love the reboot of her character in the new series.

But I have to say that the Lara that's nearest and dearest to my heart is the original Tomb Raider herself who will go down in history as one of first video game females to inspire the creation of "the nude patch" - i.e. "Nude Raider". The fix that lets you play a Tomb Raider game with Lara naked.

Yeah, the original model had "pointy boobs" that everyone makes fun of now. But in my day, knowing that her proportions were inspired by that sexy hour-glass figure on the box art made her all the more attractive. She made gaming history on so many levels. It's Mai Shiranui for June! Unfortunately, I got sick over the past month halting a lot of production. I hate to make that excuse, but it's true. I tried forcing myself to work on content, but in the end, I rested more for the sake of my recovery. However, in the future, I plan to add more to current galleries, so there will be updates to them. On that note, I did manage to add a new animation gallery. The old animation system was really hard to work with. This one is a bit "off", but it'll do for now.

Final month of Spring! Get ready for Summer!

Celebrating the final month of spring as we head into summer is Nami for May!

What better way to end the Spring season than to greet the sun with a sexy bikini? Yeah...I'm reaching...but who wouldn't want to great this beauty in spring?

For fans of the One Piece anime or those who have seen my earlier works - I've changed Nami's tattoo to the color black instead of the anime's blue version. As an obsessive fan, I never realized that her tattoo in the manga was always black. How could I? The manga is literally "black and white".

However, after some research, and literally looking over many pages of official color art throughout the manga with my own eyes, I've counted 20 instances where Nami's tattoo is literally colored black with all other instances of Nami wearing something covering her tattoo. I doubt Eichiro Oda or his assistants would make an error like that multiple times over the 5 years of the manga(Note: I'm not saying One Piece has been published for 5 years, I'm saying I actually viewed the manga page by page spanning chapters from the last 5 years to confirm it personally). Keeping with that, I've changed the tattoo to a black color to reflect my respect for the original creator's vision.

It's April in April!...yeah I know, bad joke. However, April O'Neil is one of the most popular toon babes lusted after in the American Cartoon Genre.

We have Playmates Toys, Inc and voice actress Renae Jacobs to thank for one of the most attractive cartoon babes. Starting out as the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles published by Mirage Studios in 1984 the series was intended as a parody of mutant teams and various other comic properties. The franchise then approached Playmates Toys, a small company at the time with a request to produce a TMNT action figure line. From the info that has been found on the net, it seems that Playmates was wary and requested a TV deal. By some circumstances that led Renae Jacobs to portray April O'Neil the character was re-envisioned as a yellow jumpsuit wearing career focused busty-cleavage reporter.

This babe would go on to rule over Rule34 sites across the net in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sections. Yes, from time to time we'd see the 2003 and 2012 versions of April, but by popularity the most busty of the bunch - 1987 TV series April - is commonly depicted in much erotic art.


Avid fans that watched the original series will probably note - April's breasts really didn't seem as big as I've portrayed them in my art. The problem is that I'm taking 2-D screenshots from old TMNT episodes and using them as reference pictures takes a lot of imagination. Based on all the screenshots, I've pretty much roughly approximated April's proportions to what I believe them to be based on the inconsistent nature of the old 1987 TV series. In my defense, many other artists make her breasts even bigger or way smaller than they appeared in the series. I feel part of the issue behind her breast size inconsistency was the fact that the show was aimed at kids, and that at some point during the show's run, parents complained about April's sexualized appearance. For those who never noticed...near the end of the series, April had been downplayed to a minor role, and her trade mark skin tight yellow jumpsuit was changed to a teal shirt with a leather jacket that hid the form of her upper torso. For some reason they let her keep the yellow pants.

Many people will also note that I did my best to reconstruct April's Apartment from the series. I even lifted the exact colors used from series screenshots. However, I took some liberties. Because there were very few comprehensive shots, the most we know is that April has a TV, a couch, a painting on the wall, a kitchen and a room with a computer and desk in it. We can imply that she has 'at least' a shower since she's been seen in her apartment in a bathrobe after claiming she had a bath, and she had a bedroom. The liberties I took were to 'update' the room a bit, I added a side table in the living room, gave her a flat screen TV..which at the moment isn't shown in any of the pics in the gallery, and gave her a small sound system.

I know, it's already March at the time of writing this, but I've been developing content for a year already and I hadn't posted anything until this month. I promised myself that I'd post some content at the start of 2018. Unfortunately three months into the year, and I hadn't posted a thing until the new Elize Vonntaine gallery.

Check out our newest gallery post for Elize in at hotspringshentai.com .You may notice a change in her look and art style. I've been experimenting with new art styles and I'm growing to like this new one. Expect all other characters to be redone in the same art style.

For those of you who still enjoy the old art style...I'll keep it on the site as long as I can, but the new galleries I'm setting up are going to have games integrated in them as well for your entertainment. Unfortunately, many of the old galleries don't share the same dimensions as the newer renders so I can only keep the old art for so long. I've considered re-rendering them, but due to a complete systems upgrade we had in late 2016-2017, many of those graphics aren't easy to replicate due to source files being shuffled around. I can re-render them but they used a lot of custom textures I created myself that I admit I could have been more organized in moving.

Due to time constraints...I may redo the old art with the newer style....depends on how much time I have.

Some of you maybe asking: Why do I need to subscribe to hentaikey? Yeah, well...I admit that I have several reasons for that. I hate to ask, but if you love our work, we would like your support. I put in a lot of time and effort on this series and much to my own dismay, I have bills to pay and I need to eat to live just so I can produce more of the content people love. Unfortunately, despite all the places I could post, there aren't that many out there that insures that our work won't get stolen, and even fewer that accept the mostly adult nature of our works. As a game update, for those of you who have followed our Onsen Hime game stories, we're working diligently on a sequel to Onsen Hime CPS. Much to our dismay, the new engine we've acquired has many issues, and they the main engine keeps getting updated by the creators but it also keeps breaking things.

The new ICA system is ready! Ever since day one with our old Action System, we've been working on a player interface that combines traditional D&D style game play with traditional RPG Video Game play. At this time, we believe we've come up with an answer in the form of the Interactive Console Action system. We hope you enjoy this system, we've done our best to simplify it from the orginal Action System and EXE systems. So hopefully few of you will be confused will get bogged down by it.

We'll do our best to keep you updated on what we're doing.

Unfortunately, Photobucket.com - the thirdparty image hosting site we have used for more than 10 years has finally decided to change it's terms of agreement. This unfortunately makes many of our images unviewable. So please pardon us while we fix up and update this blog.
